Step # 1: Permitting
Yin Yang, Inc. applies for all permits. Municipalities, jurisdictions, or county governments will dictate the length of time it will take for your permit to be ready. Your permit will take from 1 day to 6 weeks for approval. The is delegated by your city or county government, not Yin Yang, Inc.
Step # 2: Excavation
As soon as your permit is approved, we will layout the pool shape using lumber and form boards to depict the overall outline and shape. Excavation is next. This is when we dig with heavy machinery and remove soil. Steel placement is next. This is when steel reinforcing rods are placed inside the excavation, along the bottom, up the walls, around the bond beam, and around the skimmer. We place main drains and light niches also during this stage. Once this stage is inspected by your local government you are ready for…

Step # 3: Gunite or “Pool Shell”
A concrete mixture is pneumatically applied under great pressure to bond around the steel and then hand crafted into what will become your swimming pool’s shape.

Step # 4: Pre-grade
After we have “shot” the shell of your pool, approximately a day or two later, we will backfill dirt against the gunite shell and grade your building area. Now you have a graded property with a big concrete hole in the middle of it??? This is when most people say they can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Step # 5: Plumbing
Our plumbers will install all underground piping and set equipment such as: filters, pumps, heaters, lights, fog equipment, and gas sweeps for any fire accents.
Step # 6: Tile
Now, your color choices start to show. The tile you picked is installed around the perimeter (or waterline) or your pool. Raised areas, if there are any elevation changes, such as step risers, elevated walls, raised spas, and raised planters around your deck area are constructed and faced with your material of choice ( tile, rock, glass…etc.)
Some projects may require more time due to the extent of custom installations such as: fire pots with gas line runs, rock waterfalls, slides, water features, fog effects, glass tile interiors and extensive rock grottos.

Step # 8: Electrical
Our independent owner/operator licensed electricians will now install electrical timers and automation features. Our electrician is also the warranty house for all Hayward & Goldline products acclimated to your swimming pool project. They will also take you through a complete product and operation school at the end of your project.

Step # 9: Decking
Your deck install will consist of any footers required by engineering, install of material of your choice such as: brick, travertine, stone, and even more exotic materials. Also, drains, compaction, and “washing in” of the pool shell.
Step # 10: Screening or Fencing
There are requirements of screening or fencing that need to be met by the State of Florida Child Safety Act. Your choice will depend on your project’s child safety needs. Measurements are now taken for screen. The Screen is built off site and then delivered for installation. If a perimeter fence is selected it would be installed at this time as well. We cannot proceed until this process in completed!

Step # 12: Child Safety
Now is the time we meet Florida Child Safety Act Requirements; this could include child barrier fences or alarm installation on windows and doors. This choice is decided by you, the Homeowner, depending on your individual desires and needs.
Step # 13: Pool Start-up
Once your pool is filled, we will fire up the equipment and perform the initial chemical stabilization treatment. “Pool School” will follow so we can educate you about your salt sanitation system, all automation controls, proper brushing techniques, how your equipment functions, and how to maintain it for a long healthy existence.
You have your option of various colored pool lights. Click here to view more information on colored pool lights.
